It’s not all about meat at Papi Chulo!

Ideally located at Manly Wharf and be quick to grab a table by the window. From here you can sit back to watch Sydney’s ferries come in to berth or simply enjoy the horizon as you can dream of being in any gorgeous South American coastal town, but dream hard! Maybe Cancun, Acapulco or Miraflores especially once you see some of their starters like pea guacamole, empanadas and ceviche. Being a warm almost summary day we stick to the lighter side  but tried to order from each section. For starters the citrusy king ceviche with a slight kick from the finely sliced jalapeños. Followed by octopus with crispy pork straight from the wood fired grill, for me this was the star of the day and will attempt this dish at home very soon. Finally could not come all the way to Manly and not try Papi’s Smoked BBQ, as it’s what Chulo is famous for. All BBQ meats are smoked like they do in the deep south of America, and for more than six hours. We pick the suffolk lamb ribs with dear old Papi’s BBQ sauce, wow lamb has never tasted this good!
